For Detroit

In the summer of 2018, Ford announced its purchase of the train station. The historic move required a historic celebration of the city and its residents. In one week, we photographed nearly 100 people in over 30 locations. We interviewed neighbors, community leaders, restaurateur, CEOs and an inspiring gentleman on the steps of the DIA.

Themes began to emerge: Detroit’s transit issues, supporting black businesses and where to get the best coffee. With seven unique chapters, we had our story to tell. It was published on Instagram—reaching over 6.5 million people. The client, and the city, couldn’t be happier.

A creation story, told by the creators themselves.

We were asked to make a 30-second, feature-focused demo video. Obviously that wasn’t going to cut it for a completely redesigned Mustang.

Months of research, interviews and planning with the people who made this car lead me to an emotional first viewing of the cut. I guess that’s what happens when you really give a sh*t.

Podcasts

Brand storytelling without visuals can be tricky, yet the talented people at Gimlet have figured out an effective way to do it. That’s why we enlisted their help to create a series of podcast spots running inside their most popular shows: The Pitch and StartUp.

Someone even bought a Ford Fusion after listening, giving us a good reason to keep making these.

Built Ford Proud

A national tv campaign built on swagger needed some humanity—that’s where our team came in.

We told stories on Instagram about the most inspiring people connected to the brand, like the Moosekian family who, collectively, have worked at Ford for over 700 years. Now that’s Built Ford Proud.

Call your mom

This was easy. The insight? Moms have a lot of nicknames. See if your mom’s made the cut.

I ❤
Milton Glaser

My first viral campaign—if by viral you mean one really, really, really long hallway filled with anonymous hand drawn postcards paying homage to Glaser’s iconic NYC tourism campaign. ☺
